Have you ever listened to that old Hymn titled " In the Garden"?
It goes like this;
I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear, falling on my ear,
The Son of God discloses.
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
He speaks and the sound of His voice,
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing.
I'd stay in the garden with Him,
Though the night around me be falling,
But He bids me go; through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling.

We can have special time with God that no one can take away from us. A place of peace and contentment in our hearts, minds and spirit. A garden of your soul.
You may ask " How can I find this place? " God has given us a secret place inside our spirit and mind in which we can talk to Him anytime and anyplace. He knows our thoughts. He hears our prayers, intentions and cries of the heart.
"As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever." 1 Chronicles 28:9
The human spirit is the lamp of the LORD that sheds light on one's inmost being. Proverbs 20:27
You may be thinking that perhaps your heart or intentions have not been so pure. If that is the case all you need do is ask His forgiveness and the Bible says ; "If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us." 1 John 1:9
Since God knows our thoughts and intentions and He is faithful and always ready to forgive us, let us repent to Him and ask for forgiveness. You will find Him embracing you with His love and mercy. He will not turn away from you. He will not abandon you like others you may have known.
In union with him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our offenses, according to the riches of God's grace . Ephesians 1:7
God tells us to come to Him as a little child would come. Full of innocence, believing He will help us. The Bible give us an example in Luke 9:46-47:
"An argument started among them as to which of them might be the greatest. 47But Jesus, knowing what they were thinking in their heart, took a child and stood him by His side, 48and said to them, "Whoever receives this child in My name receives Me, and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me; for the one who is least among all of you, this is the one who is great."…
Come to Him. You do not have to come empty handed. Just as a child would pick flowers on a path to bring to her mother. So also you can bring God your praises. He delights in our praises . To Him they are like a sweet smelling perfume.
It does not matter where you come from, what you have done, what you look like or how much money you have. If you come to God with a sincere heart and desire for forgiveness He will forgive you. The Bible tells us of an incident where God forgave someone with much sin because He knew her heart and appreciated her intent. Read here about it Luke 7 :36-50
Now one of the Pharisees was requesting Him to dine with him, and He entered the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table.And there was a woman in the city who was a sinner; and when she learned that He was reclining at the table in the Pharisee’s house, she brought an alabaster vial of perfume,and standing behind Him at His feet, weeping, she began to wet His feet with her tears, and kept wiping them with the hair of her head, and kissing His feet and anointing them with the perfume.Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet He would know who and what sort of person this woman is who is touching Him, that she is a sinner.”
Parable of Two Debtors
And Jesus answered him, “Simon, I have something to say to you.” And he replied, “Say it, Teacher.”“A moneylender had two debtors: one owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.“When they were unable to repay, he graciously forgave them both. So which of them will love him more?”Simon answered and said, “I suppose the one whom he forgave more.” And He said to him, “You have judged correctly.”Turning toward the woman, He said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has wet My feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.“You gave Me no kiss; but she, since the time I came in, has not ceased to kiss My feet.“You did not anoint My head with oil, but she anointed My feet with perfume.“For this reason I say to you, her sins, which are many, have been forgiven, for she loved much; but he who is forgiven little, loves little.”Then He said to her, “Your sins have been forgiven.”Those who were reclining at the table with Him began to say to themselves, “Who is this man who even forgives sins?”And He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

God desires us to be in peace. Not in torture in our minds wondering if we have been forgiven. God forgives and then forgets our sin.
Go in peace my friend. Be secure in Gods love and grace. Walk in His ways and follow his paths of righteousness.
